Frustration!!

Honestly!! This is getting more and more irritating!!

The fact of being posted to the worst office in a good unit is bad enough, then in comes the travelling distance from my house to the camp and doing that for 5 days a week, one and a half year more!!

Financial difficulties is even more worse than the travelling part. Struggling to spend on food, repairs, new stuffs to replace my spoiled stuffs, travelling expenses. And I'm also intending to save up. All this just isn't going good at all!! ENLISTMENT PAY REALLY SUCKS FOR NON-COMBATANT!!! I really hate the feeling of not being able to support myself adequately!

You know what, despite of all these stuffs, I'm still going to give back to God regularly. In fact I just bought a 'chair for soul' chair. I think this is really awesome, knowing that the chair I sponsored will help someone come to know the love of God. I trust that God will help me out these situation because ultimately it is His will be done, not mine.

NEGATIVE

This word 'negative' has a lot of different expressions and usage, and many of time it is used to depict a certain disapproving or bad state of mind or feelings. More often than not, this word will bring along denial or rejection of certain situation or happening. and not many people take that very well. The phrase 'Why are you so negative...' is one of the many phrases that is used to rhetorically question someone as being sad or upset about a certain condition.

Honestly, this word have been so widely used as such a condition that it starts to make us think that whenever 'negative' is used, something bad has happened, happening currently or is going to in the near or far future.

However, I do have to say this...I'm really glad to hear this word recently and it brought a whole new different meaning to me...Who cares what the general public is using this word! This word has just entered my most favourite word-list!!

Social Awareness

Talking about awareness...it really seems like many of my current peers aint very aware of what they are talking about. I got this classmate that keep claiming that he has went to church a few times and that he knows a lot about christianity. Honestly, for someone who claims that, how can he still be so insensitive and ignorant about things concerning about this. Eg. is like reading aloud from the LKY the 'Hard Truth' book many comments that talk about christianity. The thing is not that he is reading, but choosing to speak aloud in front of others and using very doubtful tone altogether. Another thing is that he would always say 'no offence ar...' for things that are offensive at the very nature of the question like asking if I'm believing or superstitious about my faith in Christ. Dont anyone think that this is really going overboard!

I must really learn to have patience with people like this kind of people because they choose to be ignorant due to some bad experiences they encountered or fearful of encountering. God, I really need patience for this thing. Help me oh Lord!!

Being a technician!

like what the title suggest, I'm currently serving the nation as a technician. I really don't know how to put it, but I would say it has its pros and cons.

After these few weeks or actually months to be exact, I really benefited a lot from this vocation as I was able to learn new things and venture into a totally new field of profession from what I have been taking in poly. The only bad thing I would say is the allowance given for people like me, noncombatants...hahaa!! but I wouldn't complain much about it. Management of money will need to come into the picture, and really doing it wisely.

I really am grateful for the place I'm in and also for the people around me like my classmates, instructors and superiors. Exclusivity comes into play now and then, but it isn't really the end of the world. Its time to just look at things with a pinch of salt and lens of objectivity. =)

Saving Up!!

Ever since I realised that army is the best time to save up, I have been making effort to save up as much as possible. However, my monthly allowances havent been enough for me to even save anything. I'm saying this because no matter how much effort i put in saving up, there would always be things i need to buy because it has spoiled or that i'm in lack in.

honestly, I really hope that soon i might be able to save up at least 15% of my monthly allowance so as to prepare for the future. =/

Back Again!!

It has really been quite a while since I last posted something on this blog. I guess this new post should re-spark my passion or decision to start blogging again.

Anyway, things have been going swiftly when I'm in NS. Somehow I can see myself started getting used to the lifestyle in army. Thank God that I'm posted to a place where I can learn new things and benefit a lot during this 2 years of service.

Honestly, I'm still amazed at how God have been working in my life in all the small places. All I can say is that this life I'm living I owe it to God. I'm really grateful...Thank you God!!

I want to be a radio DJ!!

I have been thinking about my future and things that I want to do in life...and I realised that I always wanted to be a radio DJ...

I know I know...I said I wanted to be a teacher before...but I guess that is also something I want to do, but like what my mom said...that could be something I do in the later part of my life...

I think I really want to explore and see if I'm able to go into this profession...=)

This ESS one of my best experience...

I think somehow i could really sensed that God is moving and somehow i have that conviction that i have victory over the things that have been holding me down for quite some time...

I really want to move out from this stagnant level and move to the next level...and nth can stop me! not even you devil!!

Anyway, really want to thank blur polar for keeping me company all these times online when i'm really lonely and kinda lost...really appreciate this friendship alot!! hope to sustain till the end!

I have to stop thinking about that person who cut connection from me man!! argh!!

unexpectedly stranded..

Last night was one of the least expected times of my life....was supposed to only go out for supper beneath my block, then my friend Richard decided to drive to changi for supper. After driving to changi and had supper, we went for a ride to changi beach there to catch up...

When we were about to go home around 3am, the car's starter became faulty and wasn't able to start the car. Was stranded there until 6am when Richard finally decided to call the towing company...reached home around 730am after having breakfast with him near safra...

But i must say, this is really fun, because i never had encountered such incident and moreover, i get to enjoy sitting peacefully by the sea and enjoying the night wind. Thank goodness i wasn't wearing shorts...so it isnt that cold...=D

Music Practice 170610

Yesterday's music practice was great, i managed not to screw up too badly...

hope that during service on saturday everything will go on smoothly...

I went to visit lem at his hse yesterday before going down for music pract...realised that we both had went through a similar patch....really thank God that we still remain in the Vine..=)

I just went to search for a nice header picture, and there it is..hope it suits the whole theme.

I want to write songs, there is always some ideas and concept in my mind, but just hard to verbalised and melodised it...hope to get the inspiration down on paper soon!

new habits

recently a lot of things are happening, and im starting new habits...

Some are good, some are still improving i guess...examples of good ones are like starting to write a diary about my life and the journey i have, maybe also the habit of waking up....some that are still improving is my procrastination...

Oh well (this is another habit i developed, saying 'oh well')...i have been going through a few new experiences and learnt a lot of interesting stuffs...like how to enjoy the small little things around me, including some innocent kids making an indian joke in front of a family of indians (LOL)

I really hope to continue updating...for some reason im starting to like journaling and recording things down...=)

Somethings I need to get off my mind....

as it says in the title...

I have been trying to get a few things off my mind for these past few weeks...and as i was going through some blogs and some facebook profiles...i have to admit that I'm really feeling kinda left out...

I think it might be because that even though I have been in different life stages, but things seems to be turning out the same...I'm really starting to believe that it is because i'm quite incapable of maintaining friendship outside of my church life....

Sometimes it is really quite depressing to know that no matter how much effort was invested to relationships, it might not turn out as expected...

As much as i like what i do in church, with the people who are so close to my heart always there supporting me, there is a part of me that really wants to have frens that i can be reminiscing the school life about....

Anyway, things are not turning out as planned or as desired, but i really want to trust God in paving a route that i will be satisfied. All I have is this little faith that whatever happens, it happens for a reason.

Alright then, since i have got these few trivial things off my mind, it is time for bed!!

Abba Father, take my inadequacies and failures, and that i may be strong in the one who gave my my very life. No longer a defeated boy but a victorious and secured man in Christ. I trust in You, may Your will be done in and through me. Amen..

Culture Change!!!

one reason why i wanted to transfer to tertiary when i was still in youth was because i wanted to change the culture here...but at that time i wasn't too clear of what to change...but i had this burden....

I bet whoever was transferred over to tertiary had the same mindset, but for some reason we have not a single clue what to change....

but im clear what kind of culture i need to change, and this culture starts from me...'if i want to create a change, i must first be the change'...this is something i heard from Jeremy Regan Tan....and it is very true...

What started out first in a culture is a single individual that decides to do something a certain way, to react to something a certain way, to respond to what was said in a certain way...and as others around look at this individual, they starts to follow, thus developing a community that does the same thing, react the same way, respond the same kind....

it is GOOD that if the behavior is a constructive, encouraging and loving....

but if it self-centeredness, jealousy, politics, pride, rudeness, discouraging and disunity, then it will create a totally turn off community for ppl to join and benefit...and ppl who are already in will leave eventually due to the laughingstock the community have made themselves to be...

im really convicted in changing whatever culture that needs to be change in order to see fruits and growth in the kingdom of God...even it is only me in wherever small role or place i might be involved in...anyone keen to be on board with me?

Lets be a generation revolutionist, where we revolutionize the current generation and the generations with the correct and right culture it should be....

This is really crazy!!!

I have to say this, looking at my time schedule of the month....THIS IS REALLY CRAZY!!!

I'm not saying that it is bad or wat, but what im trying to say is that looking at my monthly schedule, i realised alot of project deadlines, alot of quizzes, alot of meetups and plans that will be accomplish this coming quarter...I'm really amazed at the amount of things that i have put myself into...maybe u can look through ur own time schedule too...

But im grateful that im still able to experience such pressure, because i know that there are places all around the world that people are not able to endure such privileges...who am i to complain...seriously...

I wanna to really thank God for giving me such a life, to be able to learn and to live as i am...im really grateful and thankful for this....

maybe u can take some time to think and reflect through ur life and give thanks for the past blessings...=D

Lectures!!!

Lectures...used to sound like a super cool learning session to be in....

Right now, it is just another chore and i dread going to lectures...even though i still go. The reason why i still go for lectures is because i'm in AS!!! If i were to miss out on one lecture, just one 1-hr lecture, i know that im missing out on a whole lot of stuffs that will help me to get through my poly life...

Honestly, i really want to do my best for my studies, but how come it seems that people around who have been cheating are doing so much better...i wonder what it would be like to go into the society that has no definite answer sheet....learn not just to do well in exams, but strive to learn so as to be able to apply in the future and not drag the company down...

Currently, im really convicted in building my own character... because even though it is the talent, the personality and the passion that opens door...but it is the character that make it stay opened...

If anyone is keen, join me in this road of building up character...^^

Our Server Is Down...Absolutely!!!

Recently i have been reading this comic series called 'Baby Blues'...it is really a very interesting comic because the writers are actually a couple who uses their parenting experiences as the main sources of their production....I'm really amazed about how they can add humor to their comics but not taking away the underlying meaning of parenting...

As i read, i really got addicted to it, because of the freshness in their humor and also that as i read, it feels that i'm watching the family grow up more and more....

Anyway, these few days have been a draining day due to the amount of project meetings and the project doing and discussion...my server is really down!!!

Really enjoyed the dinner at carls with nat, wilfred, nigel, zhi wei, zi xiang and joseph lin...then went to play photo hunt at the arcade with wilfred...came home and search for the chords of worship forevermore by planetshakers...it is really a nice and easy song to play...do check it out at the http://www.pwarchive.com/song.aspx?SongID=1793&v=1 ......

ok...back to my projects and card writing...hehheh....

New blog, new start....=D

Heya everyone, this is my new blog....if anyone wonder why im doing this, feel free to ask me...some personal reasons...

Anyway, really had a great time with my cg yesterday as we ran one round of the bedok reservoir...heard that a few of them wasnt feeling well today...opps!

REally glad that was able to finally run again after 2 years of isolation of running (which causes me to have aching legs)...refresh and reminded about persevering no matter what is going on around me....

School have been great, with alot of projects coming and rushing...really appreciate my group members...i will continue to contribute my best....

Went to rowan's blog and watched the vid about sex trade in the Philippines...really sad and also grateful that singapore are alot safer and orderly...really hope that soon the people especially the girls will be freed from all this chains...also went to felicia's blog and read about fatal familial insomnia...really sad-case (no joke)...

Changes are taking place and more people are undergoing pruning...keep on running people...=D
